DVD-Q Server is a network-attached storage device that simplifies
both installation and use of centralized CD and DVD recording while
providing additional powerful features. DVD-Q Server is typically
used in automated environments with multiple users and/or high production
requirements.
|
User requests for recording are automatically logged, scheduled
and prioritized. DVD-Q Server then sends the recording tasks to
a Studio or MPS4 system with an attached disc autoloader and printer.
DVD-Q Server can be used with or without MakeDisc software. Users
who want a high degree of control over how their recording tasks
are handled can use MakeDisc to format a job before informing DVD-Q
Server that they have a pending task.
|
A simple Java GUI can be used by "typical" users, which
allows DVD-Q Server to invoke the recording parameters specified
by the System Administrator. Depending on how DVD-Q Server is configured,
users can have no control, some control, or a high degree of control
over how their recording task is formatted.
